Run a nozzle rated for a lower amperage than your process, and that arc will chew through it; run one rated too high, and your cut quality suffers on the fine work the LC300M is built for.

Amperage. The consumables are amperage-specific across that 30–300A range. A 30-amp stack and a 300-amp stack share nothing — the nozzle orifice, the electrode, and the shield are all sized to the current.

Material and gas. This is where it gets particular. Mild steel typically runs oxygen plasma; stainless runs either air or an H17 argon-hydrogen mix with a nitrogen shield, depending on the finish you're after; aluminum runs air plasma with a nitrogen shield. The consumable set is matched to that process, not just the amperage — a 200-amp stainless cut on H17 isn't the same stack as a 200-amp mild steel cut on oxygen.
The core rule is the same as any plasma system: match the consumable to the cut, not just the machine. A part that physically threads into the torch isn't necessarily the right part for what you're cutting.
