Clean TIG welds on stainless without pickling paste. The ABICOR Binzel® ABICLEANER 1000 AC/DC removes the heat tint from stainless steel TIG weld seams electrochemically: an electrolyte-soaked carbon fibre brush lifts the oxide layer and passivates the surface in the same pass. No grinding, no abrasives, and no hydrofluoric acid.
Polishing mode. The 1000 AC/DC adds a DC setting for polishing stainless surfaces, on top of AC cleaning.
Why the ABICLEANER
- Simple to run. Clamp, dip, brush, rinse. No flow settings and no fluid lines to prime.
- One chemical does it all. The same ABICLEAN electrolyte cleans, passivates and polishes. One bottle on the shelf.
- No pump to break. You dip the brush in an open container. Pump-fed weld cleaners add a pump, tubing and valves that can clog, leak or fail; fewer moving parts means less downtime and lower running cost.
- No hydrofluoric acid. The ABICLEAN all-in-one electrolyte cleans and passivates without the HF found in conventional pickling products.
- Reaches tight corners. The ABIBRUSH carbon fibre brush has about 1.5 million fine filaments that get into fillets and narrow gaps.
- No paste to wait on. Brush the seam, rinse with distilled water, wipe dry, done. No waiting for pickling paste to work and no neutralising chemical to buy.

Before you use it
Wear gloves, goggles and acid-resistant clothing, and work with ventilation or fume extraction. The electrolyte burns skin and eyes on contact, so rinse any splash with plenty of water. The brush and workpiece get hot. People with pacemakers should not operate the unit or stand near it. Indoor use only.
Spare brushes, PTFE sleeves, electrolyte, and replacement handle and ground clamp cables are sold separately. Ships anywhere in Canada.
