Choosing between the 85HD, 105HD and 125HD

All three cut, grid-cut, gouge and mark from one power supply, and all three set gas pressure and pilot current automatically. What separates them is how much plate you cut, and how long you can keep cutting it.

EX-TRAFIRE 85HD

85A

Cuts 1-3/8" · severs 2" · pierces 1"

  • 100% duty at76 A
  • Input200–600 V, 1 or 3 ph
  • Gouging17 lbs/hr
  • TorchFHT-EX 105TT

The lightest of the three and the easiest to move between jobs. General fabrication, automotive, structural work and training shops.

EX-TRAFIRE 105HD

105A

Cuts 1-3/8" · severs 2" · pierces 1"

  • 100% duty at94 A
  • Input200–600 V, 1 or 3 ph
  • Gouging20 lbs/hr
  • TorchFHT-EX 105TT

Same plate capacity as the 85HD, but it holds 94 A continuously instead of 76 A and pulls 20 lbs/hr gouging. The one to pick if the torch runs most of the shift.

EX-TRAFIRE 125HD

125A

Cuts 1-1/2" · severs 2-1/2" · pierces 1"

  • 100% duty at125 A
  • Input3-phase only
  • Gouging17.6 lbs/hr
  • TorchFHT-EX 125TT

The heavy-plate machine, and the only one rated for its full output continuously. Steel service centres, shipyards, heavy fabrication.

Capacities are for low-alloy steel (MS S235JR). The 85HD and 105HD run on single- or three-phase power from 200 to 600 V, so the same machine works off shop 240 V or plant 600 V. The 125HD is three-phase only and voltage-specific — check your incoming service before ordering, and email office@torchandtip.com if you are not sure which configuration fits.

Which torch, and how long a lead

Every system on this page is sold as a complete package. The two choices you make are the torch type and the lead length.

Hand torch

A trigger-operated torch you hold and guide — cutting, gouging fillet welds, trimming, marking. Ergonomic in any position and compact enough for tight radii.

Pick this for shop work, field repair, demolition and anything that is not on a table.

Machine torch

A barrel torch that mounts to a CNC table, track burner, pipe cutter or robot, supplied with a standard mounting tube. A CNC port is fitted to every power supply as standard.

Pick this if the torch is carried by a machine rather than by you. Gear rack sold separately.

26 ft (8 m) lead

Enough reach for a bench, a small table, or working next to the power supply. Less cable to coil, drag and damage.

50 ft (15 m) lead

Reaches across a bay or a large table without moving the machine. Worth it if the power supply lives in one place and the work does not.
